Well butter me up and call me a biscuit. I did it. I did the thing. This is happening.

For the past three months or so I have debated about starting a blog. Something personal, and not to take too seriously, but to get my thoughts out on various subjects in a humorous and authentic way (if not a little self depreciating and analytical or sarcastic) . I should probably back up and introduce myself ( I mean most of who might read this probably know who I am).

My name is Kaycee. I am in my late twenties (which- what the heck when did that happen?!) and I reside in the great state of hot and humid Texas. Everything’s bigger in Texas. Including the mosquitoes. I am a born and raised Texan, who grew up in a small town and dreamed of audacious dreams that never really happened but I’m still dreaming of anyway. I have a college degree (or three) and I love to learn new things.

Some fun facts about me are I have a black belt in Karate and I was the captain of my dance and drill team in high school, two of my hearts passions I miss dearly.

I named this blog Live Metanoia. Metanoia is a greek word meaning: The journey of changing one’s mind, heart, self or way of life, a spiritual conversion.

I’m not married, nor do I have any minions (children) but I do have two dogs that I talk to like they are children. Dog mom ? Yeah, maybe. I come from a conservative home- Jesus raised, but a little saucy if I do say so myself. I like to read, paint, or do anything artistic or expressive. I mean, I sing Disney songs down the hallway at my job. It’s great- every one loves it- not.

Metanoia is my power word. I feel that as we get older and experience more, well life, we change or evolve. Well, I think that we should at least. Growing is apart of living, and I want to live a life full of experiences and happiness. I believe one of the worlds greatest fears is change. People are scared of change. New and different can be a horrific or beautiful experience. It just depends on how you choose to adapt.

I ask you to enter your email at the bottom of this site and go on a journey of adaptation with me.

Let’s live in Metanoia.

Until next time friends,

Kaycee<3
