Brave heart

So I’ll open this post with an apology. My bad for not being more consistent in posting. I really want to post at least once a month, if not twice. I plan to up my consistency pronto. I also am wanting to redesign my blog for a more professional appearance and many even monetize it, but first I need to figure out how to do all that. If any bloggers reading this know how, holler at your girl.

Now, exciting news!

I have been finally cleared by my doctor to return to work at full duty. I am so excited and relieved. It has been a long time coming. I have dealt with multiple infections, some ending in IV antibiotics, and mental and emotional stress as well as having to move from one wound care facility to another. There has literally been blood, sweat, and tears. Putting my uniform back on again felt amazing. Until I had to worry about zipping up the pants, cause I may have gained weight in the eight months I haven’t been able to work out. That and with the stress eating I am definitely not happy about having to buy new jeans.

My war cry when I was release to work.

Now that I can do some of all the things, I am really focusing on my health and getting into summer shape ! I’m so ready to start moving again I may even go buy a bicycle (heyyy). I also have started dating which is an interesting time let me tell you. From being happy and single for years, to stacking multiple dates, to in a relationship apparently- this is foreign waters for me. But luckily I can float (let’s not say swim cause I’m not a strong swimmer).

I’ve also gotten three new ear piercing to appease the mental health gods, well, that and because they are super cute. Shout out to my piercer Ann Marie at Javelina tattoo (her link to her instagram is below). She’s very nice and super clean when piercing. So now that I’ve checked off the “third life crisis” issues within the beginning of 2022 I am ready and willing to kick it into high gear.

I mean the government is trash, and there’s wars going on, and our media is brainwashing Americans into a false safehood, and gas is offensively high, but I can only control my self and reactions to the world. And right now, getting my health and finances in order are priority. I have happily not re-downloaded Facebook or TikTok since I deleted them from my phone this most recent time. I find myself listening to more educational podcasts and reading more. I’m less stressed reading hypocritical posts from people on my page, something that tells me other people should try getting off social media theirselves and finding a hobby or therapy. Take your pick.

So for the rest of this year, Let’s do all the reading. All the learning and training. All the fitness and health things. All the fun and living life. I am making memories this year and I will speak that out into existence until the end of this year.

No holding back. I’m ready. Let’s go.

I watching church sermons if I miss the morning service, and I am going through the Bible in a year podcast. I’m drinking the stupid water and finding recipes to use in my fancy air fryer. I’m waiting to be 100% all clear from my doctors to resume CrossFit and go skydiving.

I am doing something this year. I want to make it count.

Are you ? Or will you let time pass you by again ?
